The Sony CBK-WA100 Wireless LAN / Modem Adapter with SDI Input for XDCAM allows you to wirelessly transmit XAVC proxy files from cameras back to the station or to the cloud by optional USB Wi-Fi dongle and/or 3G/4G/LTE modem. Supporting one SD card, it also lets you store the proxy files to an SD card for subsequent offloading. You can also save high-resolution files to an SD card via USB cable transfer from cameras with a USB connection. A USB connection also provides a viewfinder display of the adapter’s operation status.

Additional Information
The Sony CBK-WA100 adapter connects to compatible cameras and decks via an HD-SDI input and 4-pin DC input, and it attaches to the camera using an included bracket and cushion assembly. For cameras without a 14.4V DC output, you can attach an optional Sony BP-U60T battery (which has a 4-pin output) to the camera and connect the adapter to the battery’s output. A 4-pin to 4-pin connection cable is included. Compatible Wi-Fi dongles include the Sony IFU-WLM3 2.4GHz Dongle, and supported modem dongles differ country by country depending on carrier.
The adapter can also be linked up to an iOS or Android mobile device by Wi-Fi for access to various features via an app called Content Browser Mobile. These features include live video streaming, camera control, file list browsing, content preview, metadata registration, device selection, file transfer triggers, and settings changes. (The live video streaming feature is only accessible on Android devices; the camera control function works only with cameras connected by USB.) The adapter additionally has a web browser function for basic settings adjustments.
