PL Mount
This wide-angle close-up lens was designed for use on PL-mount cameras. It can cover both standard 35mm and Super 35 image sensors.

Optimized for Video Use
This “cine mod” version of the lens features geared aperture and focus rings. Please note, due to the height of the PL mount on most cinema cameras, it is unlikely that a standard follow focus configuration will work with this lens.

Wide-Angle Macro Lens
The Venus Optics Laowa 24mm Probe Lens’s unique design gives you a larger-than-life 2:1 maximum magnification, a 1.5-foot minimum focusing distance, and a 0.8-inch working distance. As a wide-angle lens, it gives you greater depth of field than standard telephoto macros. This means you get less subject isolation and more background detail.

Virtually Distortion-Free
This lens’s rectilinear 19-group/27-element optical design keeps distortion at an absolute minimum. It includes two extra-low dispersion elements and one extra refractive index element, which help to eliminate chromatic aberrations, distortions, and color fringing. Additionally, there’s a built-in LED ring light at the front of the lens, which will help you focus at close distances.

Fully Manual Lens
This is a fully manual lens that provides no electronic communication with the camera. You must manually make all aperture and focus adjustments on the lens itself, and lens information is not transferred through EXIF data.

What is the equivalent focal length when using this lens on an FS7?

The focal length remains the same due to the use of the Metabones Speed Booster.

Does this lens require an external power source?

Yes! The built-in LED ring is powered via a micro USBinput on the side of the lens. If you plan to use this function, you’ll need to provide your own power source.

Does this lens offer crop-frame coverage?

Yes. This lens was designed for full-frame cameras, but still works well with crop-frame cameras.
