The LU4000 from LiveU is a rack-mounted H.265 (HEVC) and H.264 decoder that allows for the reception of up to four synchronous and simultaneous HD signals.
In addition to being available for rental for field operations, the LU4000 can also be used remotely via Digital Azul’s Data Center, which is connected to the internet through a high-capacity redundant link.
The signals received on the LU4000 can be sent to a Live Streaming player and/or to social media platforms.
This is a premium solution to ensure high-quality and reliable streaming transmissions.
The received signals can also be routed to our remote production control room, which includes a multi-camera live switching system and full intercom capabilities.

Single 4K/Quad HD Decoder, for the Highest Video Quality
The LU4000 bonded video decoder is used to receive, decode and playout any HEVC/H.264 video streams of up to 4Kp50/60; supporting sports broadcasters and innovative news teams wishing to deliver content from the field in the highest video quality available today.
MULTI-PURPOSE DECODER
The LU4000 can support a single high bitrate 4K transmission (over 12G-SDI) as well as up to four full HD independent transmissions from different units (over 4 x 3G/HD/SD SDI).
It also supports Multi-Camera production, receiving and playing out up to four fully synchronized video feeds from a single LU800 unit.
SEAMLESS INTEGRATION
The LU4000 can receive multiple preview feeds, allowing the remote operator to select the feed/s sent out for local consumption. Integrating seamlessly with LiveU’s ecosystem, the LU4000 allows operators to monitor and control live streams via LiveU Central, the unified management platform for LiveU’s field and studio units.
INTEGRATED LRT™
The LU4000 uses LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT™), enabling it to optimize live video delivery to different SDI and/or IP destinations, dynamically adjusting bitrate and quality for the best viewing experience.
The LU4000 is the receiving hub for any transmission from all LiveU broadcast devices, supporting up to 4K UHD resolutions at up to 60fps output via a single 12G-SDI interface.
The LU4000 integrates with LiveU’s professional IFB solution, offering low-delay audio talkback to a LiveU unit.
Servers can be configured to also rebroadcast the stream to CDN platforms such as YouTube Live and Facebook Live via its onboard RTMP transcoder.
