The MD-HX offers a wide range of features: it is a bidirectional HDMI-SDI converter, an SDI distributor, a frame rate converter, and an up/down/cross converter.
Its input automatically detects the resolution and frame rate of the incoming signal, and allows, among other things, to upscale PAL signals to HD, convert HD to PAL SD, and convert an interlaced signal to progressive or vice versa.
Configuration is extremely simple and can be done directly on the converter via a front display, or through a Mac and PC-compatible application.
