It bridges your SDI world (cameras, switchers, routers) to IP, delivering 4:2:2 10-bit HDR video to any destination on the planet in under a second.
For productions shooting in Lisbon with remote contribution to London, Paris, or New York, the Makito X4 eliminates the two biggest IP risks: latency and unreliable internet. SRT compensates for packet loss without dropped frames, AES-256 encrypts confidential content end-to-end, and the browser-based UI means full four-camera configuration in 10–15 minutes — no installed software, no per-seat licensing, no unknowns on a 6 AM call.

- Keep management and streaming traffic on separate VLANs
- Set SRT latency buffer to 4× measured RTT (Lisbon→NY: 500–800ms typical)
- Do not enable 10-bit HDR encoding without confirming a full HDR-capable pipeline at the decoder end
- Always have a secondary network path (LTE router) on any job where the stream is the deliverable
