Optical loupe built specifically for the LCD monitor of the Sony FX6. It turns the flip-out screen into a proper eyepiece: 2.5x magnification, stray light blocked out, and a third point of contact against the eye that steadies handheld work. The obvious case is exteriors in strong sun, where the bare LCD stops being trustworthy for focus.
- 2.5x magnification, 40 mm Zacuto optic
- Diopter wheel, adjustment range -4 to 0 with the supplied extender frames
- Flip-up frame slides over the FX6 LCD and locks in place; opens 140 degrees so a client or director can look at the screen directly
- Mounting bracket attaches to the Sony 15 mm rod mount
- Built-in aluminium sun mask, anti-fog disc fitted plus a spare
- Supplied with two extender frames, lens cap, protective boot and dust cover
Not intended for shoulder-mounted operation, since the eyepiece does not sit far enough back. Rents with the Sony FX6. Keep the lens cap on when the camera is parked in sunlight: the loupe concentrates the sun and can burn the LCD.
