Digital Azul Live Control Centre — Lisbon

The Digital Azul Live Control Centre (MCR) is the operational heart of our remote production ecosystem. Instead of sending a full Outside Broadcast truck and a large technical crew to every location, productions are managed from Lisbon while cameras, presenters and contributors remain anywhere in the world. Designed for broadcasters, production companies, sports rights holders and live event organisers, it centralises switching, graphics, audio, communications and editorial control into a single resilient production environment.

What can we do? Remote multicamera productions, live television, sports coverage, concerts and festivals, corporate events, hybrid productions, multi-language broadcasts, remote commentary, playout, contribution and distribution.

Why produce remotely? Remote production changes the economics of live production: only the resources that must physically be on location are deployed. Smaller travelling crews, lower production costs, faster international deployment, less freight, centralised editorial decisions, consistent quality across events and a lower environmental impact.

Integrated production ecosystem. Unlike a standalone control room, the MCR is directly connected to the rest of the Digital Azul infrastructure: professional sound studios, voice-over booths, green screen studio, virtual production, motion graphics, equipment rental and technical engineering support. Everything operates as a single production environment, with capacity for up to three simultaneous productions in different locations.

Distribution. Simultaneous delivery to television broadcasters, OTT platforms, YouTube, Facebook, corporate platforms, CDN providers and satellite operators via SRT, RTP, RTMP, Haivision and direct broadcaster contribution.

Resilient by design. Dual internet providers, redundant contribution paths, dual SRT transport, automatic failover and broadcast-grade monitoring, built to minimise operational risk during live productions.
