Key Features
The Fiber Optic Transmission System carries two 3G-SDI feeds, an SDI return channel and a Gigabit Ethernet link over a single strand of single-mode fiber. It is supplied as a transmitter and receiver pair, one unit at each end of the run, and is intended for live events, OB and studio work where the distance between the camera position and the control room goes well beyond the reach of coaxial SDI, or where a fully isolated link immune to electrical interference is required.
Transmitter
- 2 x 3G-SDI inputs, each with an active loop-out for local monitoring
- 1 x 3G-SDI output with loop-out to feed two destinations
- 1 x Gigabit Ethernet channel carried on the same fiber
- 1 x LC connector, single-mode single fiber: video, return and data on one strand
- 1 x locking DC 5V power supply connector to prevent accidental disconnection
Receiver
- 2 x 3G-SDI outputs, each with a loop-out to feed two destinations
- 1 x 3G-SDI input with an active loop-out for local monitoring
- 1 x Gigabit Ethernet channel carried on the same fiber
- 1 x LC connector, single-mode single fiber: video, return and data on one strand
