Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II FE – E mount

Key Features

The 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II is the telephoto rebuilt from the ground up to be dramatically lighter and faster to focus, without giving up a stop of the constant f/2.8 reach. It compresses distance and isolates a subject cleanly, carrying a shoot from the 70mm portrait to the 200mm detail. The second-generation optics sharpen further while cutting nearly a third of the weight off the original GM, which changes what a long lens feels like on a gimbal or a handheld day — flagship reach that no longer punishes the operator for using it.

  • 70-200mm zoom range, constant f/2.8 aperture, second-generation G Master telephoto

  • 17 elements in 14 groups, a simpler, more efficient design than the original 23-element lens
  • 3 OSS modes for normal shooting, panning and erratic motion
  • Independent focus, aperture and zoom rings, click on/off aperture ring switch
